“The Etched Arcana” – 13 June, Artsavingsclub Linden, Johannesburg
Alchemy Art, in proud collaboration with Artsavingsclub, hosted a successful one-day printmaking workshop titled The Etched Arcana on 13 June in Linden, Johannesburg. This immersive event introduced participants to our Scimitar range of professional etching products, including the launch of our rich Jetblack ink, the innovative new block-out fluid, and the latest formulation of our acclaimed Edinburgh Etching Medium.
Under the expert guidance of master printmaker Cloudia Rivett-Carnac and her skilled assistant Raynard, the workshop welcomed both seasoned artists and enthusiastic newcomers. Participants were offered hands-on instruction in traditional and contemporary etching techniques, encouraging exploration, experimentation, and creative growth.

Alchemy Art proudly launched its inaugural Scimitar product range at the JVH Gallery in Pretoria on 24 February 2025. This debut event marked a significant milestone in our journey, introducing professional printmakers and fine artists to our high-performance etching materials. The launch featured live demonstrations, artist interactions, and an intimate showcase of works created using Scimitar inks, grounds, and mediums. Set against the vibrant backdrop of JVH Gallery, the event celebrated craftsmanship, innovation, and the enduring spirit of printmaking.
